Also mpd can do pppoe as a client too..
(it uses netgraph in-kernel ppp code)
FreeBSD can also use the small ppoe program too.
I know of no way to make pppd (old kernel ppp) use either the netgraph
pppoe or the userland pppoe.
It might be possible hack something using a pseudo tty and
piping the output to teh pppoe program
but it would need hacking the sources.
