I use UNIX because reboots are for hardware upgrades.

That is alright but your taglines such as "reboots are for hardware
upgrades" show the proper amount of humour. I try to have access to the best
environment for the work I do and most of the time that is Windows. There is
no comparable development environment to working in Visual Studio on fbsd.
People that think so, probably think "vi" is a full screen editor. I joke
that NT is better than Win 9x because Microsoft promotes any programmer that
is really good to working on their professional system. Thus, the good ones
are promoted to working on NT and that leaves the trainees on Win9x. If you
don't have access to all of the various systems, you don't have a clue as to
what is best and where. In my mind, none of the systems rate 10's in all
categories. When you bump into feature that is a 2 (functional but brain
dead), you need to be able to switch to a system where it is a 10. A good
example is running Apache on fbsd instead of using NT. If you don't have
access to them all, you will not know that the feature you are trying to use
only deserves a 2. Unfortunately, being good on all of the various systems
is impossible.
