thanks for your help, it worxx, so i'm goin' to buy an usb 2.0 hdd rack, and
then i will have a good hotswap device with a huge uptime server, hopefully

pendrives are slow when used with the DOS filesystem.
Flash ram is slow if written to in small bits and randomly.


You could try formatting it with UFS and if may run faster.
but then you will not be able to read it from windows..
